I do admit to entering this review with a little bias. Why? I have this brand of iPad case in another color for my Gen 9 iPad. Have had it for nearly a year and it looks almost like it did the day I got it…and has worn like iron. So I thought I’d get another high quality case after ordering this beauty in blue, for my newer Gen 10 iPad.
Luckily it’s not bias when I say that this Gen10 case as is outstanding as the Seymac I got for my gen9. If the attached pics don’t offer enough evidence, allow me to explain my assertion to answer any burning question of “Why?”
1) Material is rock solid. This is not flimsy at all. Not even flimsy in the center spine area where it folds. In other brands this spine tends to wear out quickly and offers little support. On this Seymac, you can literally have this case wide open, swing it toward the kickstand flap and…voila: The magnets grab onto the case and what do you get? An iPad ready to set on a table top or a lap (see picture one)
2) The kickstand is also made like iron. It is as sturdy as the casing covers, and will not wear out over time or with frequent use. You could almost use this as a kickstand foe your bike lol
3) The cover panels are extremely sturdy and the coating and color on these cases is extremely durable. Gets wet? No problem. Just wipe dry…and later, find no water marks or spots or dulling to the finish.
4) You can drop your iPad and breathe. This is as good IMO as an Otterbox-like case. The screen facing keeps your screen well away from the floor, should this take a header.
5) Buttons all work as they do without the case: Home and volume as well as on/off. No need to add a lot of extra exertion to maneuver.
6) Nice elastic slot for stencils.
7) Magnet flap keeps case closed when you close it. Even when in a backpack or tote, etc.
8) The deep and rich colors are just so satisfying. People comment on what a nice case this is. I do agree.
On that note, I can’t recommend this case enough. Keeps your pricey iPad quite secure and safe, even with mishaps. Looks great, stays great, and wears like iron. Can go from wide open to kickstand position with one hand and a flip of the wrist.
If I could give six stars, I would. This is the Iron Maiden for your tablet.
I love the magnetic catch that allows the iPad to stand at different angles. It feels secure and it is compact and not bulkey. I have only had it for about a month so not sure about durability but so far so good. I also like the spot for my business cards and there is a spot for a stylus pen. Good value for the money.
It is a very nice case. I live the feel and writing on the inside. Very easy to put together. Perfect fit for the 10th Gen.
We have all had iPad cases that are just OK. All have built in stands to prop the iPad up, until they wear out. But this case is different!
Extremely well made. You can prop the case up, but this one adds a degree of better. The iPad stays propped up because the case has a magnetic stand! Never have to worry about the case sliding closed and taking a tumble.
